GIFT stands for General Import Format Technology and is a format by which you can create quiz question outside of Captivate and then import them directly into your eLearning. GIFT files can be extremely helpful in working with Subject Matter Experts and other team members who may not have access to Captivate, but still could be creating questions for you.

You have to provide some proof of your capabilities and at the very least be able to point to a really kick ass portfolio of design treatments or even courses you've built (or collaborated on with someone else). If you really want to show your stuff, take one topic and create a few different designs out of it. Try different design approaches using different tools to show you're not just a one trick pony. well just write a design treatment or script.
